Marco Zietsman is the Principal of ZArchitects. Her wealth of experience across a wide variety of projects is instrumental to the studio’s ability to offer our services in the competitive realm of property development. Marco established the architecture firm in 1992 in Pretoria South Africa; her own architecture studio with an eventual repertoire of being a multi-faceted architectural entity. Marco’s vision was to create a personal experience strengthened by a creative commitment to ensure a positive outcome on all projects.
Marco’s upbringing has fostered her foundations in architecture, while working with her well known architect father Louis Boshoff and brother Chris. This shaped her, along with her own professional experiences, as an architect with strong design and management skills, sensible and effective problem solving, technical experience and expertise.
Under Marco’s directorship, the practice has grown into a strong and competitive architectural firm with an extensive list of returning clientele. Some of these clients included the Blue Bulls Company, The University of South Africa (UNISA) and the late Former President of South Africa Mr. Nelson Mandela. Projects for the aforementioned included the Loftus Stadium Precinct Masterplan and Upgrades for the 2010 FIFA World Cup for the Blue Bulls Company; the New Entrance Building, Registation Building and Florida University Campus for UNISA and holiday day residence in Xai-Xai, Mozambique for the late Former President of South Africa Mr. Nelson Mandela.
Marco has also proven specialized expertise and skills in the management by fast-track projects. Her ability to plan, navigate and inspire was instrumental to deliver a 10 000sqm building in 8 months after inception of the project.
